    Need Answer Quick - 86 ATC200x and TRX200sx topend ?

    I need to know definitively that the topends from the 86 trx200sx and the 86-87 atc200x are the same and fully interchangeable. I know the bottom ends are not the same but all i care about is the Jug and head pieces. There is a 86 TRX engine for cheap, but i dont want to waste my money if they are not exactly the same.

    Are they?

    as far as I know, they are also the same as the 200 fatcat the wiscoe piston part numbers are the same for all three motors

    YES!!! I was running an 86 200sx topend on my 86 200x. BUT i think the cam is a little smaller cause it seemed when i put my 86 200x cam in the top end it ran better but yes its all the same for the most part.
