Hell no. Im not that stupid. That was a guy around Winnipeg. Insurance will cover that, but not accident on a closed highway.

The ford truck there thought he would be safe on 4 inches of ice
Is that one of those winter highways? I think thats what they are called..

They drive the big rigs on the ice highways, the only way to get to some of the towns there is by ice, when it freezes over. scary stuff!
-
wouldnt it be easier to move to somewhere you can pave a road to? jim
-
I believe they drive those big rigs over the hudson bay when it freezes over winter. (ever watch Ice Road Truckers on the histroy channel?) Crossing the bay cuts down on days of travel they would have to spend going all the way around.
those guys are nuts for sure... you'd never get me out on the ice with a rig!

Those ice highways that they show on the history channel originate out of Yellowknife, NWT and they head to the north taking supplies to villages and minning facilities that there are no roads to. They follow rivers and lakes. Ice has to get about I think around 3 to 4 feet thick and trucks can only go about 10mph on the ice . They don't cross Hudson Bay
