Just ordered 1000$ worth of crap.....

OK, not crap but.... OEM parts are going bye bye fast, I ordered just about every grommet, rubber cover, clip or plug for the 86 200X and 350X. I ordered multiples of each, we'll see what is discontinued but I'll bet about 30% of what I ordered is GONZO!

We use to have a sticky on discontinued parts, but it was pages of numbers and descriptions and was hard to follow. Everyone claimed "it shows you when you order it" and my sticky is now GONE. Well, according to Service Honda, they still have 350X headlight bezels for about 55$ or so and I bought 4, I am most certainly POSITIVE that they are gone. I wish there site would tell me rather than the phone call I'll get tomorrow.........Maybe Bike Bandit shows you, but their prices are a bit higher that SERVICE HONDA.

    I'll keep ya posted!!

Can you guys imagine? If they started making 350X headlights or other rare breakable parts that they would sell hundreds or more of them?

Last OEM NOS 350X Headlight went for 250$ and that was 2 days ago...........

How do you even use service honda? There website is too confusing to even figure out to find the parts list.

Yes, it sure is!! I run Windows ME and have to use an "remote desktop connection" to there IP address. Then it works fine for me. But, it has it's issues, I've had it freeze and or give me an error message.

This order was huge so I was just waiting for it to crash.... I just figured I bet to order some parts before they are gone for good, Just them having anyhting after 21 years is OK I guess...

Man, I was so happy with WESTERN HONDA, they were even cheaper than Service Honda but then my guy either left or got fired...... The next kid I talke to was a MORON and I consider myself to be a good "guide" when ordering crap. I don't ask for the "lever thing" in the head etc etc...... When I called WH today they told me bud Jesse was gone and I had a 10% discount on top of there pricing. I checked 5 items and for some reason it was higher than I use to pay. I guess that kid was hooking me up.... Nice thing was the free shipping over 100$ from them.

Doesn't matter to me as long as I get some of these rare items. As soon as they get back to me I may buy some more stuff I feel is rare. These guys on EBAY selling OEM parts are crooks, they are only offering the same stuff we can buy at SH. And they are adding 25% or more to the actual price and claiming you can't buy it anymore in some cases.

Remember a lot of small parts are used on different models, including dirt bikes and quads. Also remember to check out the new quads, you'd be surprised to find that a lot of grommets and things are exactly the same on new quads.
And that's the rest of the story. ~ Paul Harvey

Its not that hard. Just click the link for parts, then click connect, then minimize all explorer windows which leaves you with the remote desktom. On the remote desktop screen in the top left theres either open or file buttom click that and it's self explanatory from there.
if you need more help let me know where you get stuck.

i use mrcycles.com for the part numbers and then enter them into the service honda pricing page. a lot easier than that remote desktop stuff.

you can also copy and paste.

i wish service honda's fiche program let you make a cart then you could buy it right from there. maybe someday.

I've found in my experience that even Bike Bandit's and Service Honda's (when you can get it to work) sites are not accurate when it comes to availability. I like Honda Parts-Direct. Only slightly more than Service Honda, plus, when you e-mail them about parts availability, they get back to you almost immediately. Here's the link: http://www.hondaparts-direct.com/

I'm gonna order doubles of everything thats left, tired of dickin around it will always increase in value anyhow......
