Whats going to the Chrome shop for my Tri Z...Opinions??????

Ok...my Tri Z project is coming along slow...I am waiting on a rear axle I ordered from ebay. I am just going crazy waiting to get this thing going!!

I send the following items to the chrome shop for my 1986 Red and White Tri z:

    1) Rear shock nob - to be brass and gold plated (a la 86 250R) and to match the gold wheels
    2) The rear grab bar - chrome plated (as the original one was bought from ebay and really rusted)
    3) The steel gas tank protective plate - The WHOLE thing is getting chromed!!

What do you guys think of chroming this piece...I thought it might be a bit too much...but I what I want is a totally stock looking 1986 Tri Z...but when you look at it from the rear end its flashy and shiny.

Also, out back I have a new DG silencer that is chrome and aluminum.

    Any advice...does this sound trick?

You're going to town on that thing! What did you use to paint the "DG" stamping on your silencer?

I forgot you probably have the same DG silencer. Well I used an automotive touch up paint....you know the kind that comes in little bottle with a brush. I just took a plastic red part and found paint that matched.

I went to Pep Boys which is an auto parts chain here.

I also did this with the paint...
