    Jarts anyone?

So not only did they take away our beloved "dangerous" three-wheelers, but they took away our beloved "dangerous" (or was it extra fun?) game of lawn darts, or Jarts. Does anybody have an old set they would sell me? I did find this site which is kind of funny:

    http://www.lawndartparts.com/

They wil sell you all the parts, just in an unassembled form, because assembled ones are illegal to sale If you have any extra sets, let me know Because it looks like piecing together a set is gonna be expensive. But possible...

never heard of lawn darts? Ok, kind of like horseshoes except you're throwing giant darts up in the air (with heavy metal spikes on the end) hoping to get them to land inside a small cicle target. Guess lots of people would end up getting impailed through the foot or head with them But they are fun

The most important thing is to have everyone stay on the same side when throwing. Nobody gets hurt that way. My GF and I played jarts as a friendly competition for a whole summer -almost everyday during college summer. Its a blast to play and better than any other outdoor game - IMO.

I have 2 sets (used to have 3). But not for sale either. The going rate for these were 100-150 for a nice clean set about 5 years ago when i got mine. They are banned on ebay too - Its funny, I am surprised trikes are allowed on ebay

Two companies made sets. The set Eric has is the nicer brand with extra fins. My other set is green and red colors without spare fins. Oh yeah has a $3.95 tag on it from kmart too.

We used to see how far we could throw them as kids. That ended with a hole in the swimming pool liner.

my grandparents have a set in storage, my and my brother used to play it all the time, but we'd put the ring as far away as we could throw and try to hit it. It is a fun game. Ill check tonight and see if they want to sell it.
