"yamaha Help Motor Swap Help Asap!

Hello gang..
I need help big time..

I have a 1985 yamaha 225Dx it needs a rebuild.. Now there is a motor I can buy right now its a yamaha 200 its shaft.. I am getting engine rear end and everything for 80 bucks. missing re-coil.. says its got good compression.

Now would that engine go into my 225? he states and quote ''Will fit 1982 - 1985? Tri-moto 200 3-wheeler and YFM 200 4-wheeler''

So would this go into my bike?? I know its a different motor but would it bolt up?? I am jus thinking a cheap solution for my beater is all.

I think it will fit. I think I read somewhere on the board that someone had a ytm-200e with a 225 engine. I think that you can swap a couple of part from the shaft drive and it will fit. But I'm not sure. Hell, for 80$ you have a engine... go for it

yeah true true.. I am picking it up tonight.. its complete with rear end.. he has it does not have the CDI box.. but he has all the rest..
Now another question.. a 225 CDI would it work with the 200? or no?
