Thie one I ride. It has a wiseco piston, LA Sleeve, Boyesen Rad Valve, Answer Roost Boost, JR Filter and TMX Mikuni 38 carb. I also sand blasted the pipe, marked it, cut it in to three pieces, drilled the welded inner parts and put it back together. The US is too far away for me to buy a DG so I did it on my own. It sounds good, performs better and mostly it is "stock".

Yes I do have them all and I got a few more parts after that. To tell you the truth I have too many parts, but once uppon a time there were about 1500 to 2000 Tecates imported BRAND NEW after the US banned them. Nowadays there are about 50 to 100 in working order and that's because there were no spares EVER imported, so what I buy ... I keep. Many people I know have asked me to sell, but I preffer to keep them just incase.

I check very often on ebay and my eyes would pop out when I see a T3 86-87, and NOT because I find them to be rare but for the pice that they get. I once saw one about 6 months ago that went up to ~8.000$ !!!????? In Greece you get a poor for 300-500 Euro and a good for 2,000 -3,000 Euro. When they were banned from the States all the stock that was left unsold would have to be scraped or sold to places that there was no bann. So they were shipped to the UK and Belgium and then most of them ended to Greece for 450.000 Drachmas (at that time) = to 1,500$~1,700$. We also had a few Tri-Z (all 86 white&red) and no yellow or black. The ATC250R we also had, but it was in ... photos! :-)

More or less something like that happened because they were no longer "wanted" or allowed to be sold to the States. When I say that they were sent to Europe, I don't mean that they were sent to Kawasaki Europe ( in Holland). They were imported by "grey" importers that bought them ALL for very little $$$ because they could no longer be sold in US. NO spare parts could be found and since there was no internet at that time (1989 was the year they showed up I do have customs papers from 4 T3's) and Kawasaki had not imported them, it meant NO parts book or microfilms. If bike broke down or wrecked then the bike was gone. The only thing that we could provide as riders at that time was gas, air for tyres and a good wash. A flat tyre, or a set of piston rings and that was it. The worse case senario would be if you had the rear fenders stolen ( two screws under fender) and then you could never ride again.
