Replacing fork boots on a 200x

Is it as much work as it looks to replace the fork boots on a 200x. Im seeing the handlebars, headlight cage, triple clamp and all that crap have to come off.

    Here's an easier route.
Remove the front caliper from the forks and loosen the forks from the triples. Drop the forks out, replace the boots, reinstall the forks and caliper. Done

Mobular's got it. It took me about 20 minutes to do mine that way. I would suggest removing the front wheel too, that makes it a little bit easier to get everything back together.

... yeah, thats pretty much how the rest of the world dose it only take the opportunity while your forks are out to clean them really well and shine them up with some scotchbrite.

    forks

It would be a good idea to remove the springs and clean out the crud that develops inside the forks while you have them off.
You will be surprised at the color of the oil that you have to scrape out.
Clean them out with gas and refill with the correct ammount of transmission fluid . I think you will be pleased with the difference. :-D
