    Can anyone identify this Tecate?

Does anyone know whose '85 Tecate this is?

If not, has anyone seen an all original 1985 RED Tecate up close? I'm having a hard time finding out if the tank decals were blue and white like the green models, or black and white. If the above photo was better, I'd be able to tell.

Based on the way decals are listed in the Kawasaki parts listings and from what little I can tell from the pic (comparing it against the 250 on the side), I think they are in fact "ebony" and white. I guess Kawasaki had a problem saying black.

    Anyone know for sure?

So the same color as the 250 on the side, or is the 250 lighter?

Well check this out from the '85 Kawasaki parts guide. As you notice the pattern, it goes GREEN Tecate label (just the number), then RED Tecate label (the number with A at the end.) Based on this, it seems that the Red Tecate would have the EBONY tank decals.

    56014 EMBLEM, FUEL TANK (GREEN) 2 $20.78
    56014A EMBLEM, FUEL TANK (EBONY) 2 $15.61
    56018 MARK, REAR-FENDER (GREEN) 2 $6.54
    56018A MARK, REAR, FENDER (RED)

Hence my question if anyone has ever seen a red '85. Or maybe you have seen one and you're telling me what you've seen. I guess in the end, it doesn't really matter if no one has ever seen one before--no one will know the difference!

I actually do have the original blue seat. It's a pretty cool color blue.
