    Question 250es tyres?

So I'm putting new tyres on the BigRed.
The tyres coming off are almost certainly the oem 25x12x9 (polished smooth), being replaced with 25x12x9 MudPuppies (only 'caus I got them cheap!). What I don't understand is that if I'm right, the '25' is the height or diameter of the tyre. That being the case, the MudPuppy appears to be 3-4" less in diameter even though they are definately 25. In fact they're nearer the diameter of a 20x11x9 Maxxus Razr. Is this sort of difference common between makes and styles? Or have I missed something somewhere?
    Thanks.

25 is diameter 12 is width 9 is rim diameter. Tires look shorter off the rim to start with, in addition to some manufacturers run smaller carcases then the specified sizing.

On another note where not talking about the Kenda Mud Puppy model K278 which is a almighty Trail Pro knock of that has been rehashed in a larger size.

    Yup K278!
So what's the issue with TrailPro's?
We're on clay here and I found the Razr balled up with clay and were as good as the old bald tyres.
No air at the moment but they should be on by tonight.
As I said, the only reason for fitting them is they were cheap and as long as there's rubber at each corner, I can ride!

Well they're on and you're right, now inflated they are the same diameter as the oem's.
Also put new brakes and bearings in the front today and now the ungrateful thing won't start!
