    Question Please help, 125 power problem! Need a quick answer PLEASE!!

    Got a 125 trike, runs great, idles great, but when you give it gas it seems to top out quickly, almost like it's on a governor, sounds like a car when it reaches the rev limiter, kind of pops over and over...it seems to top out around 20-25 mph in top gear, the carb is clean seems fine, could this possibly be a clogged exhaust arrestor or something? Someone please help!

    is it in low range??? 4th gear low range may go 25mph wide open.

    If the popping is actaully backfiring through carburetor that's a very strong sign that you've got an intake leak. Air is getting in somewhere it shouldn't

    Weak top end could be carb cable or likage getting fouled, or twist grip giving up. Possibly incorrect float level, restriction in fuel line or tank, clogged air filter or blockage, points timing retarded, wrong points gap.
