Well, we got the bike fired after purchasing a new oem cdi and coil. The coil wire was broken coming right off the coil, and the wire cant be replaced due to it being vulcanized into the coil body. The cdi provided us with spark on the initial test still on the table. But then failed completely a day later . Strange. After getting the new components, we filled all fluids, fattened her wayyy up and she fired on the 3rd full kick. Did a few heat cycles in the garage, retorqued and rolled it out. Very smooth and torquey but very intentionally wet. Put about an hour on it like this and finally flashed the plug. Dropped pilot, leaned needle and put in a smaller main and now we can finally begin some real tuning. It sounds very different from a standard liquid R at idle. The extra displacement can be heard. It's running pretty good for still being fat. But with the weather and newness of it all, were not gonna rush anything. But for now, we're very pleased with the bike, and haven't had any mechanical issues.

It reminds me of how the prisoners on death row have fun waiting for their turn on the electric chair. Fair enough, the trike isn't an electric chair, but it is about as safe and comfortable as one."

Is the pipe and silencer a direct bolt on?

This was a very straight forward fitting pipe and silencer combo. But you have to switch the oem top mount to the lower skid plate mounting fixture. We used some machined aluminum bushings to get the silencer fitment perfect with the pipe. And to allow proper clearance. In the end it fits outstanding. Like many aftermarket items, sometimes a bit of extra fitting pays off big. This bike is running very well, but the weather has been really bad and still don't have much time on it. Current jetting is a 48 pilot, stock DGH needle on 2nd grove from top, and a 175 main. Running 40:1 Torco leaded fuel, and full synthetic oil. Keep in mind this a 344cc engine and we're still a bit fat on top. But, we need some consistent warm weather to really clean it up. It has a very smooth power delivery, but extremely strong. Not what i would consider peakey, just very strong, like any large displacement 2 stroke. So far we are very happy.

Where did you buy it from?
    ESR or somewhere else?

How much for the whole assembly?

The exhaust was bought through ESR. My friend also has the same exhaust on a bone stock 85. Esr's prices sometimes fluctuate for some reason on exhaust. I would expect to pay around 350 or so for the pipe/silencer combo. I can't remember the name of the swingarm builder off hand, but they were located in Utah. I'll look for the name. They did a fantastic job, and it took roughly 7 weeks to get and cost $475.
