They work...I bought one for a motorcycle a couple years back. It didnt fit exactly and the plastic kinda looked odd. Its not as good as the original but it works.
i had one on my old 90 and i have one on the 350rx....nice tanks
80s......185 atc, Yamaha tri-moto 200, 85 200x with tons of work
90s......89 Suzuki quad racer 250 (raced 250 A class for 6 years, late 90s.. custom framed 250x with long travel shocks and a built 350x motor.... built Honda 110
00s...... chomeoly framed 350 RX with all the goodies (thanks to my bro)

Odd as in not original. It faded pretty quick. Maybe it was just mine. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. Fitting wise it was slightly off kilter. It leaned to the left.
Also if i do put one of these tanks on then where do the tank fenders go as there is no holes for them to screw inot the tank?
Hey Wad..... yeah, thats one of the downsides to using that tank... can't run your shrouds. I have seen older plastic tanks that were made to accept them, but I don't think they are made anymore. The only good things about running a plastic tank are no dents and no rust..... but like the other poster said... nothing looks better than a steel tank in good shape.![]()
