if you'd like to see what the 200x looks like with black plastics check out our web site under "the collection" and then "1984 200x"
as far as the shrouds, search & search e-bay or maybe you'll get lucky & one of the board members will be able to hook up like my pink ones. if not, you can krylon fusion them, thats what i did at first. and my last idea would be go with red or white & then use that as your accent color.

good luck & it's cool you're attempting this solo

Thanks pinkhonda! You have a very nice collection going on!

I love the black! I am getting more excited by the hour!!!!

I haven't completly decided what colors to do, but heres my next question:

I want the bike to look as amazing as possible, so i was thinking EITHER:

    1) To have ALL plastics, tank, AND seat to be black with the frame being either cobalt blue, metallic cherry/maroon, OR silver.

    ~OR~

    2) Having front/rear/headlight plastics & tank black, with the frame, seat cover & tank shrouds being the silver, cobalt blue OR cherry/maroon.

Which one do you guys like?

Oh and P.S. I went out and bought a deep 8mm socket for that bolt. I will try it now and get back to everyone.

    Ok...Quick update:

I am so close to getting the engine out of the frame! The bottom rear bolt (the one that is more recest) is being a little more tricky than the others (and they haven't been pleasant!).

So far, I have broken 2 bolts in half, broke the chain connector thing, and the pin thing that holds the rear brake pedal together.

Not bad for my first time!

The swing arm bolt looks like it will be a BIG pain, can't wait! ;o)

famous words "is it wrong to wear my helmet sitting on the toilet and twisting the toilet paper roll like its a throttle while making engine noises?"

Ok! So my current state....CRAZY! lol

I got everything disconnected from the engine, and it's ready to come out!!! yippee!!!!

Only problem.....It wont budge! I triple checked all around the engine, And everything is free to go, but it got stuck at a 5 degree turn and a little angled to the left of the trike.

now i can see why a 350x engine wont fit!! theres no room!

anywys, whts the trick to getting the engine out?

Hmm, I'm trying to remember how I took mine out.
If I remember correctly, it came out on the right side.
I keep thinking it's the left side, but think I remember using the kicker as a handle to pull it out.

well...My only problem with removing it from the right side is that my exhaust is stuck and blocks that side. I was told that the exhaust comes apart in the middle but mine isn't budging (what's new?!? everything on this bike is being difficult!)

I am getting a new exhaust so I guess it doesn't matter but I wnted to sell the cobra exhaust. ;o(

it should come apart in the center. not to sound like a prick or anything but did you undo the clamp? if so try to tap it with a to loosen it up. exhaust can be a royal pain in the ars.

i see where is could be taken apart into two, and someone else already mentioned the clamp thing.

I do not see a clamp, it looks like is just got pushed together and is now too rusty to come apart.

I did pick a little something up while i was on my usual payday shopping spree....

should help with all of this!

but the 200 is a pretty lite motor. my 11 year old brother pulled my engine out while i was at work one day. as for the push the motor to the front and lift....your dead on man. thats how they come out the best.
