so what can i expect from piping my 250R

i know that when i piped my banshee it literally felt like it doubled the hp so what kind of performance increase can i expect from piping my 250R???right now it is stock and to be honest it seems a little underpowered it seems that i really have to rpm it or it will bog going into the next gear and cant recover unless i downshift,i am hoping a pipe combo, jets ,and reeds will really wake this thing up.any thoughts?

i agree with kintore 100%. although for my style riding, i prefer a pipe with better mid-throttle power.

Base it on where/how you ride, not the kind of pipe. Tight/slower places = low end pipe. Drags = high end. Ive used Turner 2 and it seems to work well mid and upper.

it doesnt sputter, and the only time it bogs is when i go into a tall gear too soon, but i would think it still would be able to recover without downshifting......other than that it runs tip top so i dont think the carb needs to be gone through, after owning a banshee or 2 for the last 15 years i have a pretty good sense of when a carb is in trouble

Its only a stock 250, cant shove a high gear on it and expect it to go.

Be careful with that second idea before it costs you a burnt piston. its not about "sense" its about spark plug colors. That carbs bad for flooding./

thanks, what i was getting at is that i am very good at carb work/tuning....banshees are a very high maintenace machine that require constant carb work/cleaning,and im not just "shoving"it in a high gear,it has a fair amount of rpm going into the next gear but apparently not enough, and i was looking for some insight on that aspect of it.
