85 250R brake line guide and helmet holder.

Does any one have pic's of NOS or good OEM parts on there bike. I bought the front brake guide and the helmet holder. The holder does not look like the part in the Honda parts catalogue and the brake line guide was broken when it arrived so i had to make a new wire.
85 250R only please so i can get a look at the propper parts.
Pictures on bikes would be best so i can see where i'v gone wrong.
I'v put the holder on wrong as i didnt know where it went (i have since found out) but is it the right one for an 85 ?
Also have i put too many bends in the brake line wire, i coppied the one that came but i'v since seen one that wasnt quite as elaboratly bent ?

That brake line guide you have there is 86, , I don't believe the 85 came with a helmet holder but the one on your bike looks like its from the trx, not the atc model.

An 85 brake line guide will look like this one

yep Jim is right that is a 86 guide your be lucky to find a nice 85 guide (wonder where Jim's went ).....the helmet holder is a trx... this is how it should look....but Jim right again and was only fitted to 86 model so don't bother with it...

I believe it went into your stash Didn't Stacey make some of these as well? I know I wanted one but couldn't bring myself to put on a nos one, even if I did get it for a $10 bill.

Im gona use that helmet holder any way now i'v paid for it and had it shipped all the way from the US. Only pete will see it any way , no one else will know

The bracket is also different from 85 to 86 but unless you are doing a 100% oem restore why worry about it? Any brakeline guide is better than not running one at all. If you ask Pete maybe he will dig out that oem 85 and snap some pics of the bracket side of it.

That helmet holder is exactly like the one on my 1986 350x. You have it on there wrong though. Rotate it 90 degrees counter clockwise.

So i copied the original for nothing, as it was clearly bent out of shape. And i bought the wrong year to start with.
I'll make a new wire same as the OEM 85 some time this week, (got a week off on antibiotics ) Might even have a look at making a bracket for it. Cheer's Pete, dont slate it too much when you see it in Wales .
