Ya, its called the Little Sahara Recreation Area or Little Sahara Sand dunes. Some people also go by Jericho, since it is near Jericho Junction. Its about 100 miles south of Salt Lake City. There litteraly a mountain there called Sand Mountain. The wall is 700ft high.
Ya, we had a get together last year.
250rfreak, were are you in Ut? We will have to hook up and go riding at then dunes.

    Heres the thread from .org.

Kinda funny story, a few of my friends went to the utah one Rusty is talking about this last weekend. We are way up north so it was quite a trip. Right after they got there and unloaded their bikes the ranger came to check for tags.

My one friend Spock had just barely got his bike done, some 400 honda quad he fully built over the winter, anyways he had no tags and also no vin #'s on his new chassy, so they called it in. Low and behold he had a warrant for a MIP he had got up here. This was Sat and he is still sitting in jail. It is a no bail warrant and the Sherrif office has not sent the paper work up here for them to come and get him.

I guess the Sherrif was really cool, let him eat and go for a dune ride before they hauled him off. Gonne be a long 7 hour van ride back up here..LOL.

This is sand mountain NV, my 350x loves it here! I do not have any pics from the top yet, but I will take some this weekend. This pic was taken around the beginning of December. If you get a chance check it out. Sorry for the crappy pic, my scanner is acting up.

Looks like a fun area to ride. Got some space to open it up.
Is the dunes bigger than that, or is it just one sand mountain?? I've never been to the nevada site...

The mountain is what is behind me. I think its 2 miles long. Does not look that big, but its 650 feet high and has a lot of riding areas around it. I was there with about 20,000 people on a holiday weekend and we still found areas to ride with no one on it. Most people like racing up the hill and hang out around the drag area. I like to ride, so I go all over. There are a lot of sand rails and pre, and pro-runners that ride out there as well, I have also seen rock crawlers out there. It's a lot of fun, and there is even areas that only kids ride in. I will post more pics after this weekend. I always bring my digital camera, but I ride so much that I don't take pics. This one was taken by my buddy's dad. One thing to keep in mind if you go, bring a flag, and if you ride at dark you need front and rear lights. It's $90 for a year pass, and $40 for a seven day pass. There is a website devoted to this area, but I don't remember what it is off hand. Also, if you go and are not familiar with Fallon NV, there is a gas station on the edge of town called Fox Peak. They are trying to close the mountain to ORV's. I do not buy anything from them and I try to spread the word about that.

650 feet high is a repectable climb. Thats what everyone likes to do at the mountain here too. All they do is go up and down and up and down the mountain for hours on end. I like to get out and ride all over. There is a lot of cool places to ride that a lot of people dont make it too. I dont ever get very many pics cuz I am always soo busy riding too. If I ever make it down to nevada I will look you up and you could show me around.
