Probably posted an ad using someone's really clean modded out 250R or something, but not actually having it. Sad to say it happens a lot.

A member on this site owns the R and had it for sale on e-bay a couple weeks ago. He had a $18,000 buy it now. It didnt sell, but the bidding went pretty high. Now this loser is trying to scam someone by stealing the pics and info and putting it up for sale.

so how would the scam work? you would pay for the item when you got there, so when you got there, the bike wouldnt be, so the only thing the ass managed to do was make you drive around........

Not true Alot of these are long distance transactions like ebay...people have machines shipped thru craigslist all the time....not as safe as ebay

He would probably want you to send him some money to hold it. Or tell you its in another state and he is going to get it. Alot of BS out there.

He would probably say something like... "At the moment I'm away on business, You can still forward me payment and I will have someone drop the bike off for you" He would obviously try to sound more professional than that, but I had quite a few guys try to do stuff like that to me when I had my Mustang for sale.
    They'd say something like...
"I'd like to purchase the Mustang you have for sale. Unfortunately I'm away in Switzerland on Business. Give me your final offer and Give me all your information and I will arrange for pickup"
Usually didn't even ask for more pictures, how well it ran, etc. Even had a few offer me more than what I was asking.. then in the same paragraph ask what my final offer was.

I have a few different sites that I posted, wanted-Tigers or parts. I get emails everyday that are BS. They usually dont have a clue to what they are saying. "What is the last asking price, and current condition" is a dead give away.
