    1988 250sx ???

    I just found this for sale,it's 1 hour of road for me
    I ask to seller to send me a picture of the year decal on the frame
    Original Honda SX decal?!?!?
    Possible?!?!?

    Did he send you a pic of the frame sticker? Its got different tank stickers, a 250r front fender, and does that headlight look wider then normal ones or is it just me??

    Ask him for some CLOSE UP pics.

    Anythings possible...there have been 88 Big Red 250ES's found...

    Yes headlight look wider than normal.I see same difference as you.I will wait for some picture.But a 1988 in Canada????

    Well Ive heard that most of the 87 trikes that were still being sold went to Canada, Europe, and Austrailia...heck Ive even found 2-3 87 Big Reds up here in Alaska!!

    The only '88 is a big red made in Europe and OZ. Most likely its an '87 and over the years the owners got the year screwed up

    ATC 500x for that price I would buy it. Usually thay ask 1250$ for a 250sx in good condition.

    Yes I know but I have already a 250sx in very very good condition with some options,I paid 800 for it with an extra part bike.He sold it because he wouldn't start it,he said the alternator was bad.....finally it was a bad connection :P

    Finally I call the seller yesterday.
    He's not sure it's a 86 or 88 cause de decal is damaged.He said he bought the trike exatly like it,250r front fender,light,decal....
    It's probably a 86...

    are those stock sx forks or is that a 200x front end....dont look like a x front end because the trees are so wide....and those arent sx forks.....

    200X forks slide right into a 250SX tripple clamp.

    If the swinger has a hoop brace and a spinning brake drum it's an 85.

    If the swinger is sleek with one cross brace and an enclosed drum, it's an 86/87.
