Hey bud, I just opened up my goodie bag, just like Xmas - uhmm... better than my Xmas was lol.......

I'll share one more call with ya. Boss says "water heater has a bad gas valve but it's under warranty" So, I show up after he replaced the thermocouple and proceded to swap the valve. I drain all the water, change the valve and relight it. Stays lit, everything seems fine to me but it won't ignite the main burner. I called him and said " did you test this valve or just change the t couple and assume it was bad??" he said yes, just change the valve and your all set.

Would not light............................................. ....................

So I ask the owner whats up with the house. It had sat for 6 months before they rented it. So I thought hmmmmmmm, I wonder if the utilities got shut down. I yanked the burner and a drop of condensation had plugged the oriface, That was it! I asked my boss how we could charge the customer 600$ for a useless service call........
