    Question Trail Pros....

I have seen a lot of people being against trail pro tires... Why does everyone point out them if someone has them on their trike? Are they crap tires or something? I have one as my front tire on my big red and I think its a good tire.... not trying to start an argument, just wondering.

    Can anyone fill me in??

in my opinion - they are the worst tire ever made. the rubber compound is super hard - the tread pattern looks like the tire designer was tripping on acid - and they don't do anything very well - snow - mud - water - all no good. They do OK in hard pack - but what doesn't?

You gotta think - how could WalMart's number 1 selling ATV tire be any good?

They are heavy but I like them. I have a pair on the rear of my 185s and they do great in the mud, hit a hole and pin it and it literally rains down mud on top of you as you chew through it. Do reasonably well in the snow too. Better than the stock pro-am's by far.

I know nobody is going to agree with me but its the truth, If I could find another pair for my 200s it'd have them too.

Well, they clog up too fast and become as useful as a bald tire. Theyre heavy...and that tread pattern(as stated by Tim) is one of the stupidest designs Ive ever seen on a tire.

They're a great tire if you wanna say that the bike has new tires, because they always look new! lol!

The weight alone makes them junk IMO... I would never run them on a sport machine, or purchase them new for any application...

lol...so that's me, schmee, and billy who know.

I won't lie, in the mud down here, they would clog up in less than a second.

it's black as asphault, stickier than gum, heavy as lead, and thick as clay...it's crap.

i think schmee put it best to syko... "when you think you can turn 27s, you hit this and find out very quickly that you can't".

a couple of the other south louisiana members can attest to the utter suckiness of blackjack mud.

seems like trail pros would be good on gravel...i mean...they would NEVER wear out

The only thing i didn't like about em was the way the feel in the turns (unstable/ tip happy).

As for the packing up in the mud, maybe you guys should get a trike with some balls, then you don't have that problem. lol

And your point is what??? Tiger probably put them on the 500's because they were afraid to get traction or be too light...

OK, I think a 500 is about the only machine that could wear out a pair of trail pros. lol
