    86 250r axle in 85 carrier?

    i know the 86 axle will fit in the carrier, but does the sprocket line up properly with the front? has anyone done this? and if not, then could someone measure the distance from the sprocket mounting surface to the inner edge of the seal area on the sprocket hub of an 86? thanks
