    do i need race gas with this?

    do i need to run race gas with a weisco 12:1 compression ratio piston for a 350x?

    Well, you didn't mention what ATV, but if you are running 12:1 CR, then you should run either race gas or mix race gas with premium to keep the detonantion down. if not, you will be changing, that 12:1 piston one way or another.

    you need to mix 50 50 for anything over 11:1

    New 450's run 12:1 stock and they recomend 91/preimum. Its not optimum but i have see many people on x's run regular gas on a 12:1 engine. I woudnt recomend it but you can do it and probably not have any problems.

    50% 93 50% race fuel. other wise you will have detnation
    i would not go by what the 450's run.....why do you think they have a fairley high rate of engine failures.

    from the mouth of famed engine builder Jack Moore, do a compression test 1st.

    up to 195 = pump fuel or premium
    195- 215 = 50 / 50 pump fuel and 110
    215 and up = straight 110 or higher
