Clean sleds...those are both capable of fairly stupid speeds...gotta love that suspension at 90mph

Im running a 87 exciter 570 (yam) and a 82 blizzard 5500mx (doo)...blizzard is runner and the exciter is gonna be getting a newer style rear suspension and possibly a frontend update as well this summer.

they are actually in pretty good shape for 25 yrs old . the vmax is almost mint. it had no spark when i bought it.it wound up needing a stator coil. the red one is the 81 i bought that was not runnin it needed a base gasket.wahla it runs . that one runs 9800 rpm redline its nasty for a 440 it will embarass 10 yr old 600's that one will be stripped and totally gone thru this summer and repainted original this summer. and ill be hitting the vintage shows with them this fall.ill post a pic of it now and one of what it should look like.

Both nice sleds........you should check out the 76-79 SRX 440's. I've always loved the old Yamaha muscle sleds.
Lighter, and even better contenders here on the speed runs, the 76, and 77's especially.
Check out the SRV forum......there are some guys there that know the SRX's.

To complete your collection of late model first gen SRX's would be an all too rare 82 SRX 500!!!!
It was released for the 82 model year, but teething problems caused the factory to recall all the sleds from dealers..........
but not before some were sold, and some people kept them instead of getting a credit for a different sled.
