    Plow for big red

This is my first time here and posting. Kinda remember back in mid 80s that Honda made a plow for the Big Red. Wondering if anyone knows where one could be found and if it worked on 84' models and up?

DennisKirk made plows for the 250 bigred but not sure if they had them for 200s. The front ends are pretty similar so it would probably fit with few moddifications.

Here's the Cycle Country plow in action last winter on my 1985 Big Red. A friend of mine had the same thing on a 1984 Big Red and the only difference were the mounting brackets for the rear of the plow.

Do you know how to get in touch with Cycle Country? Might be buying 84' big red this weekend.

I don't think they have made the push frames in years. Your best bet is to check some older dealers in your area to see if they might have one in stock. I had to buy another big red to get the plow but they do pop up on Ebay every now and then. If you had a welder and a tube bender the push tubes and mounting brackets would be easy to make. I am willing to put mine up to copy if anyone is willing. No shipping though but I will drive to a shop in reasonable distance.

i remember someone on here took a plow from a quad or something and modified it to fit on their big red. they had a winch on the front rack and they used that to raise and lower the plow. i think it was an ATC250ES though??? maybe you could take a plow from a quad or something, and make minor mods to it to make it fit?? try searching the boards.

I've seen a lot of back blades on BR's on ebay. not too many front blades. The one i saw used the hitch on the back as the mounting point and anchored it to the rack. manual lift too, no winch.

You will have to take your chances on Ebay. They are no longer made. You can get the plow, but not the push bar.

Here is a vid of my SX in action:
