    1985 big red idle?

out on the big red the other day and i tipped it on its side. now it won't idle right, it sounds like it is not getting enough fuel. It starts and drives ok just not idle.
had the bike a couple years and no problems. I don't know how to clean a carb (if thats the prob).
    any help would be great.
    Thanks

Sound suspiciously like tipping it over has disturbed some dirt that had settled in the float bowl, which has got drawn into the jets. Sorry but a carb clean is the way to go. If it's a 250 Br, then the more daunting task is actally getting the carb off! It's a pig of a job. Carbs can be strange things, I couldn't even begin to explain how to start. Hopefully someone else will chime in with the easy way. Cheap insurance against this happenning is a inline plastic fuel filter Shouldn't run you more than a couple of dollars.
    Good luck!

must have been dirt/ water or something. put some "fresh start" stuff in the fuel run it a couple mins then let it sit overnite. worked good today.
