    Stator cover on a TRI-Z

    Hi gang, me again...
    if i want to change my stator cover for one that i buy from Hagen (polished aluminum stator cover, very nice piece) i want to know if behind that case there is oil?

    nope.. should be dry! if theres oil .. you got a bad crank seal

    yea i had oil in mine but i know my seals and bearings were bad but i didnt have alot of oil in there its probly the reason i had weak spark. i should be gettin alot of z parts today tho.

    thanks a lot too, on the clutch side...at this place, there is oil...i think yes, but just to be sure!!

    yea your friction disks would last long without oil thats why the call it a wet plate clutch if you take it apart be sure to oil all the plates before you put it back together
