Well these are pretty basic machines. Electircally the only thing i have seen go bad is the exciter coil. Like i said it's 30.00. As far as the fuel sustem goes, a carb kit is pretty cheap. that's pretty much all that can go wrong with them. These rigs are like tanks and super reliable IMO.

So it sounds good to me! Like i said take it for a long ride. I think even without knowing what the spare engines are like they're spare parts! I'd go for it!

Personally I'd Probally nab the 200e. Little bigger and heavier of a bike, but the 25" tires make up for it, The dual range is a nice addition, in addition to the electric start being a convenience. Storage space comes in handy, in addition to a little more comfortable to ride for longer stretchs. The front suspension isn't near as nice, but those 2ply balloon nobbies will make it ride real smooth.

Also it has a 12 volt DC power supply and a battery (aka el cheapo winch ready). Plus the extra skid plates and the nerfs will make for a more pleasant ride in the underbrush.

Since you arent really ready to buy the bike, I would check around some more. I try to buy bikes that look really original because people seem to rig these old bikes rather than spending money on them. For $600 you should be able to get a darn nice hard tail.
