well, after getting my R, every time i jump on a quad, it feels like cakewalk to ride. you learn so much on a trike, than when you jump on a quad, its rather boring.

    I politetely disagree!!!!

You jump a quad after you jump a trike, and its cake easy! Its so cake easy thats its enjoyable because its so natural.

    Trike on!

Buy a tricycle and drive it like a nut in your driveway, that will teach you what to expect if you find yourself in a bad spot.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

It was hard for me when I first got my 200x not to put my foot down on corners. I ran over my foot several times before it sank in. Now that I just have three wheelers and four wheelers that urge has gone away.

LMFAO! dont listen to this guy, he just hasn't had his daily fill of riding, and i think he skipped his meds. So, he is a little cranky as of late

As was said, just learn your limitations. Take it slow and you will begin to feel more comfortable as you get learn how the trike handles. Anyone can ride a quad. Not everyone can ride a trike.
The best part will be when you prove your friends wrong...not to mention all the looks youll get on a trike. Have fun!

Thanks for the advice. I'll take it easy and will NEVER put my foot down... well, on second thought I bet I only do it once! I will try to post up a pic of me and my new toy. I do get a lot of looks when I ride it down the roadside, but I thought that was just because all gals look hotter when they're riding a 3 wheeler!

Probably not legal. I am actually riding along the edge of the orchards, not on the pavement or the edge of the road.

+1 to the many informative comments made my all.

3 wheelers ARE NOT dangerous!! It's the rider's non-ability to ride them that's dangerous....as with motorcycles, 4 wheelers, snowmobiles, autos. Get my point?

"3 wheelers....'Ya just gotta know how to ride 'em!"

    Oh yeah!!

When I was about 13 or 14( a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....from yours ) I learned not to put my foot down the hard way.

I was riding my '85 250R down a hill that was covered in Kudzu(ever present vine in the south that has been known to grow across railroad tracks and stop trains!). My R stalled out pointed downhill, so I put my feet down to rock it back and forth to get it out of gear. When I found neutral, my right foot was hung in the Kudzu AND the calf of my right leg under the right rear tire(pointed downhill...remember). Very ugly picture. I struggled for awhile before I got loose and was completely exhausted.

Just imagine if I had been rolling under power in that same spot and put my foot down.
