I wish. We're finally planning on doing some main page updates (that would be a little bit of an understatement, hehe) and the 87s page is one of the things I'm working on right now. I had remembered hearing of that little article but don't think I'd ever actually seen it. Blue27, do you mind if I save that and end up using it on the main page article? I'll be happy to credit ya for it.

Its does make you wonder if a few slipped through the cracks and just have never turned up!!!!
Wikipedia "All Terrain Vehicle" Definition excerpt
Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

I know of one that almost made it thru, a guy I was talking to who used to race trikes for Honda up here in AK, he said he ordered a 1987 250R but it got stopped at the Canadian border and they wouldnt let it past into Alaska. I wonder whatever happened to it.

so they did exist? is this, the magazine articles, the ad and stories on the 87s page all proof that the 87's existed at one point? if they did, then how come no one has found any real proof? surely if they did exist, something had to slip through. a complete bike, or a fender, a case, or even a picture, or something. i dont think honda would take complete bikes and scrap them. they would at least sell some parts i would think. but then again, maybe they did scrap them, who knows. maybe they were forced to. but if they were forced to scrap them, couldn't they sell them in other countries, and then why whould they make the 88 big red? i have heard stories of honda taking complete bikes and crushing them.

has anyone tried contacting honda to find info about the 87's?

sorry, dont mean to hijack the thread about the magazine clip.

EDIT: also the guy said 1987 ATC250R 3 wheeler right? not just 87 250r? might have been a trx250r maybe? just a thought.
