i have lots of noise in the top of the engine. sounds like the cam chain.
a buddy told me i could tighten it up but he didn't know how.
Could someone here tell me how to do it? if it infact can be done.
Thanks
Steve

I thought that too, but I was wrong. The chain tensioner on those engines are stationary. I have 3 of them. I was going to try welding the face just a bit to put some more tension on it, but we'll see how that goes.

Sooo.. no one has adjusted these before? there must be some trick to it?
They are self adjusting so once they are adjusted all the way out they should be replaced. Start by putting a new cam chain in there.
My big red made same noise untill it put the exhaust valve through the piston because of a loose cam chain.
