I have an 84 200s that when started it idles real high even with the idle screw backed out considerably, any ideas?
Could be an air leak around the intake area. Spray some WD40 around the carb/intake boot area while it's running and see if it stops.
Check the throttle cable too, might be frayed and hung up somewhere causeing the slide to not close properly.
