    Klt110

i got a 1984 KLT110 and its in ok condition ive been ridin it and ive had it for a couple months and i got tires and idk if i blew out the second gear or not because ill shift it from first to second and it will go forward but makes a noise like the chain is slippin on the sprockets and its not and i go to third and 4th and 5th and its fine no probs
one thing i might add is tht the coutershaft were the front sprocket is the seal is bad and it leaked oil and i didnt no it and it ran outa oil when i was riding it so i got towed home from my friends house behind a rappy 350 and i added oil and it was basically fine except for the 2nd gear acting up

welcome to the forums! sounds like your 2nd gear is toasted! years ago a good freind of mine had one of those 110's, we poked and prodded till we got it to reach a max speed of 55! no joke! it smoked my old 200e back then! is yours red or black?

The 110s are awesome, but if I remember correctly they had tranny issues (I seem to remeber 3rd gear being the problem one)

    Welcome to 3 wheeler world!

The KLT is a fun trike, I started on a '84 KLT110. It sounds to me as well like 2nd gear is in trouble. I believe I have the seat and tranny, I will send you a pm about them.

and its not my only ride i ride a 02 KX125

Yeah...those KLT 110's were pretty quick. Easily beat my Honda 110.

We did a pull off in the shallow end of a river (prolly in 8" of water), and neither budged the other, but mine did have the "power" to spin the wheels, where as the KLT 110 just bogged, and wouldn't spin.

Same thing happened against the ALT125 trike. Fast top speed, but I actually yanked it in a pull off.

The KLT & ALT had 5-speeds vs mine with a 4-speed. But I had the Hi/Lo range transmission!

All this back in 1986! Ahhhh.....the memories!

yea mine has 5 gears so im guessing i dont have the hi/lo ranges
im 6'0'' 205lbs and i can wheelie it in 5th gear on the road with the rear bumper on but right now i broke it off
i run threw alot of water and i dont have a air filter on it yet cuz i dont have the money but for sitting in a shed for 5yrs and then outside for 5yrs it runs pretty damn good
