    85r Wiring Question.

    Will the wiring system from a 89TRX 250R work on my 85R? I mean everything, stator, cdi, etc.....are the flywheels the same?

    The flywheel, and stator should go on your machine just fine, and you can use your existing harness, and 85 CDI box with it, as well.
    If you want to use the 89 CDI box, you can switch the CDI plug-in on you harness, or use parts of the TRX harness. The TRX harness is different from the ATC harness, I think in the switches/headlight area.
    If you have access to a factory ATC manual, you should be able to do the wiring no problem. Someone here may be able to scan the diagrams for you. I would, if I had a scanner. Goota get me one sometime.

    Just buy the correct harness off of e-bay, or post an ad in the classified section.

    I found the full electrical system for a 89 TRX, that's why i am asking. I don't want to get it to find out later that it won't work on my trike.
