    Another bent axle....2days = 2 bent axles

    this time on my 85 250r,
    Anybody want them, probably 1/4 in wobble. I have 1 for an 86 250r and 1 for an 85 250r.... $25 for both +shipping
    any way toreally straighten that works??

    i know someone that had a bent 200x axle, and they heated it up and had it pressed and it came out straight. idk maybe this helps?

    it can easily be straightened out in a press... 1/4" is nothing..

    My X had a bent axle, I just replaced it, because I was told by others that when you straighten them, they get weak, one hard jump they could snap, just my .02

    I just swapped it out...Thank god for Red bull!!!!

    What ever you do don't heat it up . Just straighten it in a press, you can put it in a lathe and check it with a dial indicator .

    my cousin bent his big red axle. the local shop straightened it no prob.

    Yes dont heat it up, that would weaken it. It sounds stupid but when my axle was bent I didnt have access to a press so I put a couple small washers on 2 of the wheel studs to counter the wobbling, suprisingly it actually worked.

    hell rex and i put his in the reciever on the back of someones truck,, with a cheater pipe and a few good jumps on it it was within an 1/8 of an inch!!! good to go!!! lets ride,,,,,,,,
