And what would be the benefit, if any, to running 86 forks in my 85 triples?
Thanks,
Chris

I doubt the '85 tripples can safely be bored that far.. 36 vs. 41mm...
well i got two chassis' let me go measure them and ill get back to ya...when i got all the parts there was a front fender from a red tecate so one of the frames might be older
fork tubes are of different sizes. 38mm on the 85 as upposed to 41mm on the 86. not sure if the 85 triples will work even being bored out. and you would have to change grind off and change the steering stop if you were to swap triples. but thats still easier then boring them out.
1985 KXT 250 Tecate - kx cylinder, kx ignition, bassani headpipe, answer silencer, v-force reeds, 38mm airstyker carb, +2 franks swinger, raptor rear shock.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "HOLY SH-T, what a ride!"
Scooterroo can the 86 triples be bolts right on to an 85 frame aside from the steering stops? Also Is anyone running honda fork tubes/hub/wheel and brakes on the front of a T3?
I have a lead on a liquid R chassis and the front end is complete on it, would that work in an 86 triple tree? I can make spacers for the hub/brakes without any issue if one it different from the other...
just checked all of mine are 41mm...figures![]()
