well .. If anyone remembers .. I was looking for a tank for my 350x while mine was in the shop .. well I got it back about a week ago .. the tank was in near mint shape except for the faded white and scrtaches .. but now it is very close to mint ! other than the overspray on the bottom .. but I am not after a perfect garage queen so its mint to me !
-installed the tank .. put the decals on ( not perfect ) but very nice reproductions
-steel wooled the plastics since with the bright tank they now looked faded
-spashed the engine with heat paint ( still need to block sand the top cooling fins)
-also have new itps and knarley rubber for the bike .. may be in the background of one pic .. rear lower crash gaurd too .. just needs a spash of paint ,,
-still need to install the new royal blue shock covers I have , install fresher pegs I already have since mine are bent a little , and instal the nice stocker exhaust as I want to tame down the noise so I can actualy use my bike at the cottage without a shitload of complaints LOL - so still some minor work to go but the bike looks very nice .. any thoughts on the seat ? I am starting to see a tear form .. thinking about going either orig colour or a blue with white flame or something ???
I also need to have the sterring tab built back up as one side is within a hair of touching the tank and the other actualy slightly touches my new shiney tank ..its white clearcoat , be a shame to dent that beauty ..
