need info on taking axle out of swinger

well, as title states, i need to take the axle and other components out of my swingarm on my 84 R,as it is damaged. i have a good swinger at hand, just needs bushings, and the axle/carrier switched over.

    any tricks/tips/shortcuts for this?

can i just take apart the axle side with the brake disc on it, or do i have to take off the sprocket/sprocket carrier thing?

I have a manual, but i want some thoughts/opinions on doing this as well.

If its anything like a 200x you just loosen the 2 lock nuts , remove hub/tire, and disc. Then slide it out to the left, or right in your case. Theres nothing to it, just look at it and remove whatevers in the way.
