use swimming pool acid it works great will make trailprotrailpro tank like new make sure that u nurtualize the acid with baking soda tho also make sure that you just have the acid touch the tank and nothing elce it will eat it up hold on let me go find out what the actual name of the acid is its murtaic acid

I've heard also a good thing you can do is get some gravel, rinse it well to get the dust off of it, fill the tank about 1/2 full of gravel and poor in wd40. then again shake vigorously and repeat as necessary.

What I like to do is get some big ball bearings, or rocks or nuts, etc. And dump in a little Muratic Acid and shake it around thouroughly and rinse it out and you can follow that up with some naval jelly. Or you can just use naval jely for the whole process, then rinse it thouroughly and blow everything out with an air compressor.

Yes I have a very very rusty tank, actually, 2. I was also wondering how u get that rust out.
The muratic acid one, I've herd of that before. But how much? and should you dilute it with water?????? The ball bearings and stuff in there sound pretty good too.

when i did it i use about 9 oz and slushed it aound then pored it out i didnt delute it any and it burnt my skin also

I went to Kmart and bought a big box of bbs and dropped them into the tank with some mineral spirits and shook the cr@p out of it for about a half hour and then rinsed the tank out good and made sure all of the bbs were out worked great for me

Naval jelly is a rust remover, and it kind of stops rust to. It is like paint stripper but for rust. It is pretty god stuff.
