I have two SKS's that shoot the 7.62x39 and they are great. The cost of rounds is a huge plus for me. The 223 is fun too. My cousin shoots a Mini 14, very nice. the 7.62 will have more take down power, the .223 will be far more accurate. Like Brapp said, its what you prefer.
7.62x39 = Cheap, more knock down power, Not so accurate
.223 = Faster shooting bullet, Far more accurate, Less knock down,

Nice AK. about how much are these running now? I can't remember if they where
ak's or sks's you could get one for around 100.00. Can't seem to find those anymore. Where talking 15 year ago. bet they where junk anyway.
I really would like to get one of these.

Does anyone know anything about the Barrett M468 6.8MM?
It's like the 5.56 far as speed and stuff, but has the knock down power of the
7.62. The cool thing is it's pretty much just like the M-16,M-4.

Here's my ak47. It is a romanian kit that I bought, bought a reciever and all the compliance part and put it back together. This was an easy build that I did in about 7hrs. I bought it when they were cheap and the price has more then doubled now if you can find a kit..Chris
