    starting a new build: 250sx

    ok i got myself a 250sx for $225
kinda bad shape but it was close to me and they are hard to find here on long island.

what i want to do is this:
    250r forks
    350x headlight
    plastic tank
    aftermarket pipe
lose the stock wheels in the back, hopefully its 4 on 110
    new plastics and seat cover

    should be fun to ride.

    what forks would work best? {350x, 250r, or 200x}
what bolt pattern are the rear wheels?
do 400ex hubs fit on this axle?
    who makes a plastic tank?
    who makes an aftermaket pipe?

    thanks
    frank

Well personally I have seen one with 250r forks and feel they are too much. It seems that the 200x are the best way to go and they give it a good look.
I might need to snag a few parts from you as my SX I just got is in rough shape and needs some love.
Clark makes the plastic tank for the SX and I believe DG makes some different type exhausts for it.

Here is the 200x front end.

it is 4/110 rear bolt pattern, but you have to run the SX hubs due to the rear brake and axle housing.
