My dad worked on it and got it straightened out a lot, not perfect but tons and tons better then it was. I think I'm gonna go ahead and run it. To be honest, I couldn't even tell it was bent before, the front end always felt a little twitchy but I figured that was because of the toe. Shows how much I know about quads![]()
yeah run it ......it will be fine

Yeah I have 2 actualy. an 87 R that was mint when I got it, my first quad I ever owned I got circa 2000 I think it was? And then I got this old beat up Laeger retired pro bike last year for $3500+ the cost of getting it here. Seemed like a good deal at the time but I'm beginning to wonder cause ITS BEAT.
http://3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=71329 Theres the thread of when I got it.
$3500 is a deal no matter whats wrong with it. it was about a $14,000 or more quad to biuld it from scratch.
id like to ride it one day to see how much different it is from my 86trx250r. i have standard width front end and suspension with PEP's all the way around

Any ideas on what might be bent to cause the left front wheel to have about 3/4 of an inch more camber then the right when they are both adjusted evenly? I had to use almost a full nut width to get the thing to straighten out where they were both close to being the same.
thats normal for aftermarket bikes
just ajust it out with the king pins

I did, its just that now I've got about half a nut holding the spindle to the top A-arm. I guess its gonna be OK, I jam tightened it up so I don't think its going anywhere but still al ittle bit spooky.
I've got an electrical problem now or something on it, cranks up and idles pretty good at low rpm but backfiring and popping around when you try and get into it.
on my bike i had to shorten the peice the lower ball joint goes into on the right a arm just to get that side closer.
dont forget back in the mid to late 90s is when we ran super camber...lol
and alot of a arms from back then have a ton of camber built into them (upper arms to short) mine are the same way.
thats why you might want to shorten the lower to help
