I have the 50/50 Thor boots too and they feel great. The down side is they do not protect like a full boot, they give you like zero ankle protection.

On a family style ride I wear my 50/50's, helmet, goggles, gloves, blue jeans and what ever shirt is in season.

On a "let's see who can out do the other" buddy ride I wear all of the above plus full shin & knee guards, a chest protector and sometimes even elbow guards.

They're cool for people like me that hate the way riding boots feel. I mainly got them to protect the bottom of my feet. They protect the foot and ankle way better than a pair of reeboks which is what I always wore before I got them. Not nearly the same protection that a full boot would offer though.

Tennis shoes, blue jeans, sweatshirt, helmet, goggles, and gloves (open finger tip in the summer, snowmachine gloves in the winter). Ill also throw on some rubber boots and waders for some swamp/creek/mud riding.
