is choke pulled out or pushed in and its a semi auto trans should i be able to put it into gear without giving it gas and just sit there and not go anywhere

The day begins with 3WW
Pulled out is choke on, pushed in is choke off. I don't know about the idle in gear and not go anywhere. If I have my trike in gear, I'm always moving. If I want the trike to idle, I shift into neutral.
