Very nice Steve(Bruce, LOL)! In my opinion, your '86 is the coolest & most incredibly awesome trike I've seen on these boards. Way to go, man.

Thanks GAZOO!! I'll never stop updating and rebuilding the X, I feel like I can only continue to make it better :

I REALLY wish I could find a nice swinger for it.... But, I think I'll end up building one myself thats extended a bit when I score a TIG welder.

All my plans got screwed up with being layed off....... So much for the CRF250F build this year too

YAMADA - It can be as much as 10"s longer overall with 86 hubs, thats why I want to use 85 200X hubs and keep it down to a few inches less than that overall length.

One way or the other, I'd be quite happy with about 6" overall.

I'm thinking 4"s overall would probably be a perfect all around axle but our trike parts aren't a perfect world.........

Hub shoulder to hub shoulder, the stock axle is about 25"s and the DB about 33"s or 8"s longer overall.

If you run 85 200X hubs, you shorten it to about 6"s overall, remove the collars and your down to about 5"s overall.

If you run 86 200X hubs with the collars, your looking at about 10"s overall which is where I'm at now

I won't be hittin the trails with it this long, but I will be hittin the track

I have a 86/87 durablue extended axle also, I thought I had something rare. I got from Inland atv ~5 years ago. I later got a 83/84r stock axle and used that instead, I knew I had something rare and why risk it.
