    86 250r crank vs 87-89 trx..

    what is the difference between these two cranks.. i need a new and bought a trx one tonite..without checking application..

    87 up engines used a longer rod. You can use your new crank with a 87 up style piston.

    if you use an 86 piston you need a spacer plate.87 and up piston no spacer plate.

    also you will need longer studs, 2 base gaskets, and longer collarss. Esr sells the whole thing you need for like $50

    so if spacer plate is used longer studs and so fourth..but 87 piston is bolt on ? and go..
