    Question Rethread or Heely Coil

I have a Honda 110 79' and the treads in the head where the spark plug goes got stripped out should i just rethread it or put a heely coil in it? One more question i just got a Honda 185 82' it was junked i took out the carb cleaned it in and out, i also got the pullstart working and put a new spark plug on it dont want to start should i take apart head and check if it has anything in it??

go ahead and heli-coil the head so it still uses the original spark bolt. That eliminates all possible confusion went buying spark plugs (or having you buddy "grab you one".

The repair kits are around the 20-30 dollar mark in auto parts places here.

One the 185, do a compression test before you pop the head loose and then proceed. No compression, then you take the head off. It is a possible waste of $ and time if you just jump ahead.

The Helicoil works really well, we have done it on automotive heads a few times. Plus, if it dosnt work, you have a second chance to go to the bigger hole and re-thread.
