    200S wont start

Well i took my 250 carb round 2 my mates who has some vice grips i needed 2 undo the screws with the intention of taking the float outta the 250 carb and putting it into the 200 carb which bogs at high rpm. i took it around there and they wouldnt get the screws out. So i hung around there for abit rode the trike up the drive to show his brother and then tried 2 start it 5 minutes later and it wouldnt start. So i swapped the spark plug with one off another 200 and it wouldnt fire and push started it and nothing. Anyone know what could be stopping it? I rode it 2 my mates without the black thing that connects the air filter to the carb(stupid i know).

crap in the carb, check for spark. It could be as simple as a carb cleaning and new spark plug. oh and don't mess with the floats.... unless it is the same then go ahead.

i cant undo the screws on the float bowl on the 250 carb the screws are 2 ed to fit the screw driver into and theyre to awkwardly located for vice grips. The float bowls of the 2 carbs look a very similar size so thats what made me think they could work. The trike only bogs at about 3/4 throttle so its not too bad. I would still take on trails with it like that and i have taken it on one and it wasnt too bad.

First unscrew the plug and plug it in the wire, lay it on the head and crank it over while watching for spark. If it doesn't fire, try unplugging the kill switch and see if it'll fire. As for the carb why don't you just bend the float back some? Isn't this the one you bent down to stop the overflow?

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it.

Ill sort the carb after i get it running il try a spark plug wire from my 200cc chinese dual purpose bike (which is also not running but its getting spark) and yes it is the one that i bent to stop the overflow every bike i own seems to constantly fire problems at me and this was the worst day it could happen

My mechanical abilities arent skillful enough to go ripping into my bikes ignition system or taking off the head.

i got it started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one of the wires in the electrics which comes out of that thing at the top of the head that says CDI was loose into one of its plugs. Put that in and it had faint spark with the new plug. Tried the plug off my other 200cc bike which is one number different from the original ATC plug and it had a big spark and then pulled it afew times. No luck. push started it and it was turning over and running weak and dying. Turned off the choke and push started it and it fired right up as it used to.
