Reverse

I purchased a 200 big red over the weekend how do I get reverse gear

so you bought a 1983 or previous with the chain drive?

well I was told it was and 84 shaft can't verify that year thou I will look on the frame tonite.

If it is an 84 model with shaft drive, there is a little lever on the left side of the engine case for hi range - lo range and reverse. Put the trike in neutral, shift the lever the whole way to the back. You should then see the red reverse indicator light up. Then simply shift the shift lever down (like putting it in first).

If you bought a chain drive Big Red - you don;t have reverse.

Hey thanx alot I will try that when I get home, I had a 90 and a 110 back in the day but they did not have a reverse.

There is a shaft on the left side near your foot for the high and low. You pull it back more and put it in reverse. Then you have to shift the foot lever into reverse. Here is a pic of what an 84 200es big red looks like. You should have a key panel with the reverse light and neutral light. If not, then you dont have the 84 big red with reverse.
