wrong, they are not the same part number, each year had a different head, squish band, compression, and shape. As I believe, 85-87 had the highest compression, in 88/89 the compression was lowered as to make it easier to start. The head to stay away from is pro-design cool heads, the spark plug comes out in the center straight-up making it kinda difficult to get to the spark plug, especaily on 85 frames. They are basically the same head, but everything like honda, they have to change stuff just alittle every year.
